The Confederation of African Canoeing (CAC) and the NELO boat company of Portugal  have reached an partnership agreement  in principle.

NELO is one the largest kayak and canoe manufacturer in the world producing high quality kayaks and canoes and other water sports equipment.

NELO Kayaks and canoes  have won several World championships and Olympic Games medals .

NELO will provide High quality  equipment for CAC future Continental Championships and in run up to All Africa Games in 2011 and London Olympics Games  2012 and technological support in the area of Boat manufacturing in Africa .

The CAC - NELO partnerships will provide several  benefits in support of  NELO  brand Equity ,promotions and market capitalization in Africa .

A formal agreement and memorandum of understanding is under finalization  and will be unveiled during the forthcoming  CAC Congress and 6th Africa Sprint Canoe Championships in Cote D'Ivoire in October 2009.
